Laboratory Services at John C. Stennis Space Center

Our operation at John C. Stennis Space Center has received some of the highest awards given by NASA including Space Flight Awards and Silver Snoopy Awards. AGT has sustained the highest contract scores given by NASA throughout the life of the contract and has been nominated as the Small Business of the Year at Stennis Space Center two years running. Commitment to our customers and our commitment to excel in our performance is one of our primary company strengths.

We have multiple core competencies in laboratory services including Measurement Standards and Calibration Laboratory, Electronic Repair Laboratory, Prototype Development Laboratory, Gas and Material Laboratory, and an Environmental Laboratory that includes Natural Resource and Environmental Geographic Information Systems.

Orion, Crew Exploration Vehicle (CEV)

NASA’s first new manned spacecraft in three decades, Orion, is named for one of the brightest constellations in the sky, Orion the hunter. The new spacecraft will be about twice the size of the Apollo series capsules. It will measure 16.5 feet in diameter and weigh about 25 tons and will include a service module, a command module, and the launch-abort system.

The Orion is part of President Bush’s vision for space exploration, which includes sending men to the moon as a first step toward possible voyages to Mars. Orion will carry up to six crew members to and from the International Space Station, and up to four for lunar missions.

In partnership with NASA, Lockheed Martin will serve as prime contractor and will lead a world-class industry team including AGT who will be part of the design and fabrication of the wiring harnesses for the CEV.
